Talented and Versatile Zuni Artist Seville Hattie....

Seville Hattie's Mossy Green Serpentine Wolf Fetish Carving with offering...

Seville's sketch of "Thunder Kachina"....

Seville's rendition of a "Zuni Shalako"....
Seville's colorful sketch of "Hishab" Kachina...

Last but not least Seville's "Zuni Whipper"...

Seville Hattie’s Zuni fetish carvings are well known among fetish collectors. We have always known what a gifted carver he is, but it was not until our last trip down to Zuni, when we saw him, and he gifted us with a set of kachina drawings he had just completed, that we realized just how multi talented Seville really is!
It is that way with so many of our Native American artists. For example, not only does Todd Poncho carve fantastic fetishes, but he is an excellent beadwork artist as well....creating some of the miniature "fancy dancers" "eagle dancers" and beaded "kachinas" we feature on our website. Many of our carvers also are potters or vice versa! We plan to have these wonderful drawings that Seville so proudly, and kindly gave us framed up....but in the meantime thought we would share this “hidden” talent of Seville’s with you, our collectors, and customers at Indian Summer! Enjoy!
